This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.CLEARWATER – The driver killed in an accident last night in Clearwater was identified by the Clearwater Police Department today.Luis Manual Sanchez, 44, of 2225 Nursery Road, was driving a 2004 Honda Civic southbound on U.S. 19 at a high rate of speed around 11 p.m. when he took the Sunset Point Road exit and lost control of the vehicle, police say.The vehicle hit a power pole on the west side of the road in front of Celebration Station.Sanchez was pronounced dead on scene.Duke Energy crews worked to restore power throughout the night. The exit at Sunset Road was closed until after 7 a.m.
